Dear Brothers and Sisters in Islam,
For many years we have been searching for a location that is large enough to fit the needs of our
growing community. Alhamdulilah, by the Mercy of Allah, we have found a location in the heart
of Boston and are in the process of acquiring this land. We have placed a down payment with
money that we have raised from our community. However, we have exhausted the resources
from our local community and we need your help to come up with the remaining funds.
What is the Badbaado (Rescue) Project?
The Badbaado project is a fundraising campaign dedicated to raising funds for the new mosque.
People of all demographics have come together in ways unlike anything we've seen before to
help us reach our goal. Youth using social media and the power of the internet paired with
parents using more traditional forms of fundraising have shown us just the range of things
that we can do in our pursuits for our new mosque, our new home if we combine our efforts.
Even children as young as 10 years old have contributed in their own way by participating in the
"Dollars for Deen" campaign where students bring a dollar if possible. Every person, no matter their
age has made an effort to contribute to the building of our new masjid. This campaign
has shown the resilience and the beauty of our community and has given us the motivation
necessary to complete this project.
What can you do?
As the children of our Mosque have demonstrated, any amount helps if paired with the right
intention. Donate whatever you are capable of donating. We are incredibly grateful for your time.
Allah says in the Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verse 261:
"The charity of those who expend their wealth in the Way of Allah may be likened to a grain of corn,
which produces seven ears and each ear yields a hundred grains. Likewise Allah develops manifold
the charity of anyone He pleases, for He is All-Embracing, All-Wise."
